What today we know as the Night of Bruges or Halloween was celebrating they do more than 3000 years for the Celts, a warlike people who was living zones of Ireland, England, Scotland and France. Precisely on October 31, the Celts were celebrating the end of year with the Samhain, a pagan holiday. With the European immigration to the United States, principally that of the catholic Irishes in 1846, came Halloween's tradition to the American continent. When one speaks about Halloween or Day of the Brujas it is thought about disguises, makeup, holiday, sweets and children; but the tradition indicates that his celebration not always was festive and happy, and that the rites that were practised during the night had a character purifier and religiously.
Towards the 8th century, the Christian Church turned on November 1 in the All Saints' Day to produce honoring to all the saints who did not have a particular day of celebration. Throughout the years, these festivals combined, and the majority called " All hallowmas " (the mass of all the saints, of the holy persons) in the day of All the Saints. The previous night it was known as " All Hallows Eve " (Eve of the All Saints' Day). With the time, his name turned into Halloween.
